Approval Process — 5 Stages

College Submits Application
College HR uploads candidate's CV, qualifications, NMC/INC/PCI registration, and proof of experience.

Document Review (7 days)
RGUHS Faculty Cell verifies all documents, qualifications and council registrations.
- 3
Background Check (5 days)
Verification of prior employment, qualifications with awarding universities, and absence of disciplinary action.

Committee Review (7 days)
Faculty Approval Committee meets weekly to review and approve eligible candidates.

Approval Letter
Letter of Faculty Approval issued via DigiLocker. Faculty is now eligible to teach RGUHS programmes.
Qualifications by Cadre
Minimum qualifications and experience for each faculty cadre — based on NMC/INC/PCI norms.
Assistant Professor
- MD/MS or equivalent
- 3 years teaching experience (preferred)
- NMC permanent registration
Associate Professor
- MD/MS + 4 years as Asst. Professor
- Minimum 2 indexed publications
- 3 PG theses guidance (preferred)
Professor
- MD/MS + 4 years as Associate Professor
- Minimum 4 indexed publications
- 5 PG theses guided as primary
HOD
- Professor cadre + 2 years as Professor
- Department-specific leadership experience
- NMC Form-G compliance
Tips for Faster Approval
Submit 30 Days Ahead
Submit faculty approval requests 30 days before the academic session begins to avoid teaching gaps.
Complete Form-G
Ensure NMC Form-G is filled and signed by the candidate before submission.
Verify Council Registration
NMC/INC/PCI permanent registration must be active. Provisional registration is not accepted.
Attach Originals
Self-attested copies of all degrees + originals must be available for inspection if requested.
